Christmas Eve is now a part-day public holiday

On 27 November 2019, the Queensland Government announced that they passed legislation for a part-day public holiday on Christmas Eve.

The part-day public holiday starts at 6pm and finishes at 12 midnight.

This means the upcoming Christmas public holidays in Queensland are:

Tuesday 24 December - Christmas Eve (from 6pm to 12 midnight)
Wednesday 25 December - Christmas Day
Thursday 26 December - Boxing Day
