Over the years, I heard all the issues and dread people like yourself have when it comes time to do tax or deal with the Australian Taxation Office. Many members of my own family operate a small business so I know first hand how difficult it is to navigate the minefield of legislation and information out there. I have been involved in all facets of accounting over the past 35 years from simple accounts to payroll and reporting. I have performed accounting duties in many different industries including the State Government. I spent many years performing Financial analysis using financial ratios and general accounting knowledge.  I find taxation a fascinating area as it is always changing, so much so that I formed my own company 12 years ago in a bid to offer the service that clients should be receiving and sadly don't. I work hard for each and every one of them as I know that if someone is sitting opposite me, chances are they know next to nil about tax and what they can claim. Most accountants will not provide this information for fear you might leave and do your own tax returns. I do not agree with this philosophy as it is your tax not mine!
